Farewell, our blog. (Irna)

Less than a year after we created this blog,

we'll be leaving it.

We are such pathetic co-owners of it, I know.

However it doesn't mean that we will be gone from the blogging world, mind you.
We just merely shifted.
To one that consists of multiple authors with each own different quirky attitude.

Mr Donkey Ass (Sarven Shan).
Mr Cold Dude (Christopher Ho).
Mr Sad No Gf (Siah Ying Wei).

Mr Emo Pro (Nicholas Wong).
Mr Laser King (Ang Jian Wei).

Mr Boy Next Door (Yeo Yao Siang).
Mr Toilet King (Khor Kok Kuan).

And not forgetting of course,
joining the clan of gays,
we have Irna and Wei Ling.

And I think we prefer to stick with just Irna and Wei Ling.
Before the gays come up with any nonsense.

The more the merrier?
Or the other way around?

We'll see how it goes.
Lets prove the proverb "too many cooks spoil the broth" wrong!

Anyway Wei Ling and I wont be closing down this blog.
In the future I guess we might want to take a look back into our past.

And to see how ridiculous my writing skills are.

P/S : I will post up our new URL link soon.
Forgotten what is it already.. =P

Inactive Temporarily

There are no updates from Irna as she’s busy preparing for her AS (January). She’s busy entertaining Mr. Physics, Lord Biology, Sir Chemistry and Miss Mathematics whom all she loved equally. I trust that she would be back on track as soon as her exam’s over. Gambate Irna!

As for myself, I'm busy doing year-end cleaning rather than year-end shopping. :D

Anyway, I just want to wish everyone Happy Holidays. Enjoy your day…

A' Famosa Resort (WL)

Situated at Jalan Kemus, Simpang Empat, Alor Gajah, Malacca, the A’ Famosa Resort is a one stop leisure place for vacationer etc. The resort hotel consists of a Water World, Animal Safari, Cowboy Town, Equestrian Club and a Golf Course and it is only about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur.

My family and I spend 3 days at this resort as my dad had to attend a meeting here. I asked Irna to go but she was not available though, busy preparing for her exams next year I think. Below are a few comments about this resort:

Positive Comments:
  1. It is really quite relaxing over here (No traffic jams, extreme noise etc
  2. It is cheap and affordable (The rooms I meant) – RM 180 per night for the condo-hotel
  3. The performance at the Cowboy Town is rather interesting. We paid RM30 per person for the performances (Not inclusive of the theatre world, other attractions etc)
    • The Red Indian show, the resort’s Musical Animal Parade and the fireworks display were good
  4. The chicken rice and hotplate noodle sold at the Water World were selling like hotcakes – RM 12 per set (inclusive of a can of soft drinks)
  5. Most of the employees of the resort that I met are friendly

    Other Comments:

      Food and drinks:

    1. Malacca is famous for their Baba-Nonya food BUT I can’t find any good food of that type in the resort. The buffet dinner at the Golfers Terrace Restaurant sucks though it looks good at 1st with variety of cuisine placed on the buffet table. The only things edible are basically watermelon and honeydew. We wasted RM45 per person that night.
    2. The sandwich served in the Beverly Hills Condotel Club House was cold and the mix vegetables were not defrosted properly. It takes the workers about 10 to 15 minutes to serve a glass of ice lemon tea and hot tea when there were no other customers waiting

      Water World:

    1. Hmm… Hmm… There’s a wave pool, adrenaline-pumping slides, tube rides etc and not to forget the 7-storey High Speed Slides. The High Speed slide was fun but the rest of the attractions are comparable to those in Sunway Lagoon.

*I tried the High Speed Slide and it was “okay”… I hesitate whether to go for the ride or not at 1st and I did give up. HAHA… But I saw a bunch of boys laughing so I got pissed and I went up. HEHE… Actually thank goodness I was not wearing my glasses because I wouldn’t have went up if I can see clearly. :D

Note:
You can find good Baba Nonya food at the Ole Sayang Restaurant at Taman Melaka Raya. If you’re staying at the A’ Famosa Resort and you don’t like the food, drive to the Tampin town which will take about 20 minutes. There are bakeries, fast food, Chinese food, Indian food restaurants all over.

A Performer - Carnival Street, Cowboy Town

There are not much pics because we took more videos instead. To go or not to go to A’ Famosa Resort Hotel? Go ahead but bring some snacks and dine out if possible.

Okay, that’s pretty much all about my trip to Malacca. I am still waiting for Irna’s post about the trip to KL. She’s waiting for her comp to be fixed as it failed to work due to excessive heating.

A Day in KL (WL)

While most of our friends are enjoying themselves in another state, country etc, Irna and I have decided to make a day trip down to KL. We started our journey at 10.30 a.m. and we reached home at approximately 10 p.m.

Star Hill Gallery, Lot 10, Sungei Wang Plaza and Pavilion KL: Basically we’ve explored most of the shopping centers in Bukit Bintang, one of Kuala Lumpur’s many prominent shopping district.

The newly opened Pavilion KL was fabulous; it is undeniably a first-class shopping center. But FOR NOW, it’s just for us students to window shop (Unless you are with your parents etc.) as most of the tenants are high-end shops. But the ground floor is nice, HAHA… Food court, restaurants, cafes, J.CO Donut’s all located on the GF.

However, we didn’t hang around in Star Hill too long as it is Friday and we do not want to get stuck in the traffic jam later at night so, we left KL around 5p.m. and headed to Sunway instead. We met a few ex-schoolmates in Sunway: Kit Yuan, Ze Yun, Shiau Shing, Yew Ken, Melissa etc.

Alright, the rest of the journey will be updated by Irna when she comes online. Till then, happy holidays everyone.

Hmmm... Who is this person? What is he doing?

PS: We spend a total of RM 6.10 for transportation today. Took the "Utama", "Bandar" rapid buses and the monorail. It's nice to travel using the bus once in a while. You get to see lots of things as you go.

I am in love. (Irna)

Yup.

Very much in fact!!

It hit me the moment I exited dreamland and found something lying around my head.

Lots of love to my sister who bought it for me!
Perfect surprise!
I'll promise to try to not get on your nerve so much for the period of time you will be home.

TRY only okay?

Meaningless post (Irna)

Just came back from lunch with Da Wei and WL.
Its been ages since we last meet up with him.
Still same old same old him..
Good.

Anyway,
Its just the second day of my holidays and I am already bored.
So contradicting with my previous post.
What to do?
Life is unpredictable.

Somebody please go create some drama for me to watch.
This time I do not want to be in it.
For once I will like to be just the observer.

Blueh..
I am b.o.r.e.d.
Tried flipping through my chemistry book.
Apparently my already short attention span had shorten even more tremendously.

The idiot box doesn't interest me anymore.
Such miracle.

AIYOYO I AM SO BORED LAH!!

Loving this month. (Irna)

It's official.
The first day of one whole freaking holiday is all mine!!

Happy happy happy happy happy happy!!

But on January I will be sitting for my AS exam so it means that I have to bury myself in books for the whole December.

Sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad!!

Oh, now I am talking with Wei Ling through skype.
Enjoying the power of online communication.

So, this is how I spent my 1st night of the happy and sad holidays..

By getting holed up in a locked car parked
under the lamp post next to the USJ 11 field holding a camcoder and...
Update will be done later I guess.
(Nothing X-rated mind you)

Anyway, went home at 10.30pm.
The 1st greeting I received was : "Eh! How come you come home so early one??"

I good girl what.
Good girl go home early.
=P

Hmmm..
In real life you could see me talking like a bullet train that has no stops.
But now, I need to squash my brain bout what the hell I'm gonna post about.

Lets see..

I want a new phone.
Wei Ling going off to Kampar in 30 more days.
I want a new phone.
Ying Wei is single and available.
I want a new phone.
Nic just drove up a divider.
I want a new phone.
Sarven better retrieve his sim card.
I want another pair of P sticker!!!

Blah..
Another meaningless post by me.
But thats what blogs is supposed to be isnt it?
Place for you to just babble about.

I think I need to occupy my extreme free times on something.
Ahh..
Found it.
Studies.
Eeeee..
Good day people.

28/11/07 (WL)

Reply to the previous post:
Irna, thank you very much for your kind offer but I wouldn’t want to embarrass myself in front of your neighbours by honking or shouting. HEHE… Yup, I passed at the 4th time because my 1st 3 attempts were not that good and I was over confident till I made silly mistakes. But no worries Irna, I am not a out of control driver so, rest assured your 1st journey with me would be fine. :p

28th November 2007: The last day of class for my foundation studies in UTAR and this gives me approximately 1 week plus before my semester exams and another 1 more month before leaving for Kampar. After that, we headed to Asia Jaya Supermarket for lunch. We had Korean food but I can’t remember what is the name of the restaurant (It’s located next to the Laksa Shack?). The food was quite good and it was reasonably priced with fine service.

Chew Yen and Wan Wei

Wan Theng (Another HSM fan) and Tracy

Jia Ling (The Black Horse in class - She's extremely smart) and Siew Yen

Theng with her birthday present (Know what is it?)

My lunch... :p

Okay, that’s pretty much all for today, will be busy preparing for the finals in the following week so updates will depend on Irna. Okay, have a nice day everyone.

Addition:
Irna: I wish you all the best for your school function on Thursday. Hard work will pay off sooner or later. :p

Wan Theng: Happy 19th Birthday. I wish you a life filled with love and happiness.

As your best friend,
I wont go grab and turn your steering wheel while you are driving that will cause us to almost bang into a tree like what you did to me last time.

As your best friend,
I wont grab the safety belt and dashboard tightly in my grasp and keep fidgeting nervously in my seat while you were driving that will bruise your ego in the driving department like what you did to me last time.

As your best friend,
I wont scream like a maniac asking to slow down while you were driving and cause major stress to you like what you did to me last time.

As your best friend,
I wont hesitate every time I was about to enter your car and pray silently under my breath for my safety while you were driving that will make you frown like what you did to me last time.

And last but not least,
I give you a right that you will TRULY enjoy now.

As your best friend,

~eeeee... lets hope I dont regret this~

I will allow you to hon like a mad donkey outside my house in the middle of the night and scream my name at the top of your lungs and cause my neighbours to come out from their house which total up to be a major embarrassment like what I did to you last time.

Erm, few times only right?
2, 3, 4... lets stop there.

P/S :
Really really happy for you!!
Hope you have a smooth sailing driving experience in the future..
And faster la go collect your P.
Its my turn to laugh at you now.

Kampar Fishball Noodles? (WL)

Kampar? A small town located in the state of Perak.

I am not sure how many of you know about this place as it is rather isolated but UTAR’s main campus is over there so I will be shifting there early next year. It is not really far from Selangor but it’s not that near either.

Kim Leong really wants to go to Kampar but he will be going there a few years later I think. * There are lots of lakes there so, those who loves fishing, Kampar will be a great spot. Oh, if anyone suffers from depression, mental breakdown etc, you can also jump into the lake and take a swim. :p I don’t know how deep’s the lake but there are sure to be lots of leeches there.

Irna, we can check it out when you help me move in ok? I’ll tie a rope around you then you jump down and see how deep the lake is? :p

Kampar is definitely a fine place for a student to hang about with its serene environment. But if you’re looking for entertainment, Kampar’s out for now. The nearest cinema, shopping complex is in Ipoh. And you need to take around 45 minutes to reach there IF you are driving. If you’re taking the bus, er, I am not so sure myself, but there are no Rapid buses there so, your only option is the Blue/Red Omnibus.

What’s Kampar significant food? Kampar FISHBALL noodles… The rest, I’ll explore and tell you guys in the years to come.

Hmm… Basically, it’s less than 2 months before I leave. It is not that far compared to Ang Jian Wei who’s going to US next year or Chris Ho whose going somewhere abroad as well but still there’s a scratchy feeling inside of me. HAHA… Siah Ying Wei would say that it’s nothing as Kampar is still in Malaysia bla la bla but what do you expect from someone who has been dependent on her family for the last 18 years. :p

Imagine washing your own clothes, cooking, driving/cycling to school everyday. I do not know how to cycle… Er, let me re-phrase that. Actually, I can’t remember how to cycle since I stopped cycling after I came back from Kuching. And, thank goodness there’s this weekly house keeping thing so, I can forget about dusting etc. HEHE…

Okay, that’s all for now. 3 more weeks to semester exams so, I’ll be temporarily inactive as usual. Have a nice day everyone…

PS: No more jiwang-ing session for me in Kampar. But never mind, I shall jiwang with the fishes by the lake.

Just words. (Irna)

One word to describe it all.

R.E.L.I.E.V.E.

No more spending sleepless nights fighting to keep my heavy eye lids wide open.
No more unbearable Panic Attack in the wee hours in the morning upon realising that my brain isn't working as fast as I wished it to be.
No more experiencing the sharp stab of guilt for not being prepared earlier and resulted me being in such highly pressured situation.

Goodbye pressure cooker.
Goodbye excessive dose of caffeine.
Goodbye pure mental exhaustion.

(Well, at least goodbye for a week before having to start the ignition on again for the coming AS exams. But lets not go there yet will we?)

During the period after SPM and before I started college, I term them the stress-free boredom days.
I was bored to the extent of almost losing my sanity,
yet as stress-free as a newborn baby or an old woman who had a serious case of Alzheimer disease.

Now,
Gosh I cant even think of a word to describe it.
My brain was over-heated.
You could say I am practically living the days in cold sweat.
I am amazed with how fatigue can hit you right to the core.
Mental and physical exhaustion had hit me bad...real bad.

Therefore I, Irna hereby vow,
Never again will I put myself in such unquestionably stupid life style.
Procrastination sucks the living hell out of me.

Shift to a stress-free topic.

8.45 pm, was redeeming back the times where I was online-deprived when Sarven called.
"Hey, wanna go out not? Now?"

Spent the next 2 minutes messaging few people online.
And 10 minutes later I was out of the house.
Sarven picked me up and we met up with Nic and Ying Wei at Tanjung.
Ahhh..
How I miss those good old crap session days.
Stress really took half of my life away so you have to pardon me for being so emo.

Practically the whole time they were raving about the Ramly burgers at USJ 4 until Nic couldnt take it anymore and decided to go there there and then.
By 10pm, 4 of us crashed in Nic's car and off we go to some awkward looking stalls situated rather un-strategically beside the road.

Recreating a second version of the jiwang session Nic and YW had the previous time they came here, we headed off by foot to the USJ 4 padang.

Imagine four people sitting on a bench in the middle of the field and light drizzle staring at a huge tree with the stars twinkling up in the dark sky and burgers in our hands.

Yes. Thats what we did.
Pathetic emo-ers.
But its a nice feeling.
